Arundel

This weekend I took a trip to Arundel. It’s a little town in West Sussex  in between Chichester and Brighton. It’s so lovely in the summer as it’s such a picturesque place with some lovely pubs and other eateries and lots of tea shops! There’s not a great deal of things to do here but it’s a lovely place to stop by for a day! It’s got a very medieval feel to it with an old medieval castle, Roman Catholic cathedral and old ruins.

We found a really cute pitch and putt green with a lovely tea room/cafe… It was such a laugh and lush in the sunshine.

We stopped off to have a snack in the tea room. I had a scrumy toasted tea cake! And strolled through the gorgeous gardens…

After playing a couple of games of pitch and putt, strolling around Arundel we decided it was time to stop off somewhere for a bite to eat…

We stopped at the Black Rabbit. This gorgeous chic pub/restaurant is located along the river of Arun and is such a perfect country side pub! It’s reasonably priced and offers a good selection of ‘pub grub’. It has a really rustic, country feel to it – which is right up my street! It’s perfect for a sunny day with a cute outside pontoon eating area along the river.

I had such a lovely relaxed day strolling around Arundel and would highly recommend going for a day trip if your looking for something to do over the summer! Or even if you are around the Brighton area for the weekend, it’s only round the corner! It’s very pituresque and a lovely picnic spot.
