Summer 16′ round up!

I am sad that summers over, I love everything about summer, from the BBQ’s, beach days, pub gardens, festivals and holidays! However I am also excited for Autumn and winter. I am more of a winter gal if I’m honest! I love the dark, cold, cosiness of Autumn and winter, the fashion and not to mention Christmas and my birthday!

As summer is coming to an end, and I do have to say I have had the best summer of my life I thought it would only be fitting to write a little round up and reflect!

So my summer kicked off by me getting a promotion in my job! How exciting and just before I finally set off on my long awaited adventure to the states! This was the best 4 weeks of my life. Its’s going to be seriously hard to top that! It was filled with fun, adventure and sights that I will never forget. I pushed myself and ticked off a number of things on my bucket list! Some of my absolute highlights have to of been an American baseball game, our night out in Vegas, seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, the helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon, Tennessee and celebrating the 4th of July in the countries capital! I met some amazing people and just had the time of my life!

I then came home with major America blues… To find out we had bought a new dog! A beautiful toy poodle! I couldn’t be more in love… He is the cutest thing ever. So the summer dog walk evenings began!

Next up my best friend moved back home from uni! This meant numerous days out with our friends, exploring, going for food and of course COCKTAILS!

Pretty much from the first day of the summer we get the BBQ out and have BBQs all the way through until about this time of the year! Whether it’s a weekend and we invite everyone round or its midweek and too hot to cook, we love a good BBQ!

My best friend graduated and I went to bath to celebrate her special day! We actually made a weekend of it. It was such a lovely couple of days. Bath is such a beautiful place and I loved hanging out with her uni friends! Very proud best friend moment.

How could I almost forget… With the olympics happening this year… Me and my crazy family and friends decided it would be hillarious to hold our very own olympics! Yes I’m being deadly serious… It was hosted over 2 whole weekends one at the beginning of August and one at the end of August! It was taken very seriously as you can probably imagine. We had teams, costumes, opening ceremony routines, flags, Olympic tourch, judging and medals! It has been such a funny highlight of my summer and something I will love looking back on!

No summer is complete without at least one festival… For me I go to V festival every year without fail. It’s just been a tradition since I left school. This year it was a super girl group! A mixture of different friends and we had such a good laugh even if it did rain a bit! It’s always one of my favourite parts of the summer and this year was filled with glitter and twerking whilst Rihanna rocked the stage!

I finally went to Oxygen free jumping park – which is basically just a room full of trampolines! Me and a couple of friends went one evening and had the whole place to ourselves! It was so much fun I can’t wait to go again!

We also went to the new forest Aqua fun park! Such a fun day! We had an hours worth of falling, gliding and jumping from all the obsticales. We laughed so much and didn’t want to leave. It’s such good value for money. I can’t wait to go again next year!

I was lucky enough to go to numerous different blogging events over the summer. It’s one of my favourite parts about writing this blog. Getting opportunities to do fun things like going to London for the Seventeen bloggers network, the grand opening of the Solent university conference centre, the body shop event and also the fab events that the Soton bloggers throw!

To top off the summer I went to a charity ball last weekend with some of my best friends for a charity called the red lipstick foundation – I am going to write a post about this soon with more info! It was such a great night, we raised loads of money for the charity and all got to dress up lovely and dance the night away! It’s not often we get to do that sort of thing and it made a nice change!

I have honestly had the best summer this year. It’s been full of adventures and fun. I have some amazing memories that I will take with me forever. I’m excited for the rest of the year and see what other adventures I will go on!
I wrote about a lot of this in other blog posts! Click on the tag ‘summer’ to read more!
