The denim mini skirt

I have really started to love wearing skirts and dresses this year. I feel more comfortable in them and some really suit my figure well. I have especially been drawn to the mini skirt trend this year. I love my mini A line, button down skirts. I have a few in my collection from  denim, white denim, chordroy and khaki. I found this denim mini skirt in H&M recently which although you could argue I have enough skirts now, this is differnent to all of them – at least thats what I tell myself!

I instantly picked up a chunky black leather belt to pair this with and knew I’d have a put together outfit no matter what top I wore – and I have been after one for a while as they can really complete an outfit. I think adding a belt to an outfit makes it look really sophisticated – like you have your life together.

I was in Bath for the weekend and thought what better place to try/fail at posing for an OOTD pic!

I paired the skirt with this black high neck, ripped jumper also from H&M – This was a bargain from their basic range only £7.99 – I think I’m going to have to go back for more colour!  Along with some tights and boots from Tesco – which I bought last year, they have lasted me so well! Top top it off I had my leather jackets and my Steve Madden black shoulder bag.

I love this outfit so much. It’s a perfect day time outfit that’s effortless but still  looks like I have made an effort. The denim skirt is so versatile, I can pair it with a jumper or a shirt and it looks good either way. I just know it is a great piece for my wardrobe and that i will get a lot of wear all year through.

  1. This skirt looks fab! I like how you’ve styled it to put focus on the skirt but still keep the outfit interesting! And your ootd poses are great! I always feel so awkward doing it, especially in public haha. Bath is such a beautiful setting for blog photos! x
