Bills Restaurant Review | Southampton

6174662656_img_1550Another day another restaurant… Southampton is blooming with new places to eat and I for one am a massive fan. I was invited along to try out the new Bills Restaurant* recently and as expected, fell in love.

Bills is a small chain of 24 restaurants and growing as they sweep across the country. Originating from a small independently run company, growing from a little grocery shop to its first ever restaurant. Bill’s main focus and value has always been and still is today, to serve really good food and for people to enjoy themselves. After hearing so many good things about it, I was certainly looking forwarded to my first visit.

The restaurant is beautifully lit up with the cute light bulbs, and summery vibe. The decor inside is also beautiful, which makes the whole dinning experience that much more enjoyable. The Southampton Bills team were all so friendly and it had a real fresh vibe in there. The service was quick, polite and very accommodating which is all you can ask for at a restaurant.

The menu is very well priced, with lots of options too. I decided to go straight for a mains as I prefer to save room for deserts and cure my sweet tooth. But the starters all sounded amazing, and they offer dishes for the table to share.

When I go out for dinner I like to go for something I wouldn’t normally have at home. I decided to go for a steak, as this was the thing jumping out at me from the menu. You can pair this with your choice of side and sauce. I opted for a peppercorn sauce, which I have to say was insane, it had a real kick to it and added a little spice to my meal. The food came out in perfect timing after getting our drinks and having a little chat.

After enjoying the beautiful, mouth watering sirloin, it was time to wave goodbye to our plates and welcome the desert menu. I was stuck for choice. I have a serious sweet tooth and could have ordered it all but I decided to go for the chocolate brownie as you can’t really go wrong with this! My friend Alice was a little more adventurous and opted for the eton mess which was incredible. The portion sizes were very generous and it was just the perfect treat after a delicious main course.

I really enjoyed my meal at Bills, the staff made me feel so comfortable, I didn’t feel like we had to rush and no one was hovering around our table. Bills is my idea of the perfect restaurant when you want good, substantial, quick food, at a reasonable price with a good atmosphere.

I loved the look of their breakfast menu so much I even went back at the weekend to test out the pancakes with some friends!

Have you been to a Bills restaurant?
