Astonishing is P&Os new, revolutionary magic and illusion show. TV treasure and Bafta award winning presenter Stephen Mulhern and performer Jonny Wilkes have come together with P&O to produce this magical extravaganza, packed with an array of singing, dancing, sparkles and of course… MAGIC! I was kindly invited on board the Britannia with the Southampton Bloggers for an afternoon of exploring the ship, watching the premiere, topped off with afternoon tea.
Centred around incredible illusions, inspired by some of the greatest magicians known to man and incorporated with musical and dance numbers that could be compared to a West End musical this show brings something for everyone and lives up to its name for sure! It’s a feast for the eyes compromising of all the classic elements of cruise ship entertainment but with an extraordinary touch of magic. There is so much going on the stage, bursting with colour and mixed in with audience participation, astonishing is here to revolutionise cruise ship entertainment before your very eyes. It’s a fantastic treat whilst enjoying your holiday sailing the seas.
I have now found a new love of magicians and illusionists thanks to the show. It completely blew me away. I don’t want to give anything away or spoil it, so you’ll just have to book a cruise to find out?!
The show is now available You can watch the show for yourselves on board the P&O Britannia, Ventura and Azura.
